Crunchy Onion Chicken and Apple Dumplings
Crunchy Onion Chicken
2 cups French’s Original or Cheddar French Fried Onions
2 Tbsp. Flour
4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
1 Egg, beaten
Preheat Oven to 400 degrees.
Spray a 9 x 13 inch glass baking dish with pan release spray.
Crush French Fried Onions with the flour in a plastic bag.
Dip chicken into beaten egg; then coat in french fried onion crumbs.
Place chicken in baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
Prep Time- 5 minutes
Cooking Time- 20 minutes
Makes 4 Servings
Serve with mashed potatoes, green beans and dinner rolls.
Easy Apple Dumplin’s
Flour for dusting
1-8 ounce can crescent rolls
1 Apple, (Granny Smith or Gala) Peeled, cored and cut into 8 wedges
1 stick unsalted butter (4 oz)
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
3/4 cup Mountain Dew
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. On a flat working surface dusted with flour, unfold the crescent rolls.
Place and apple wedge on the wide end of the dough and roll up;
Place the dumplin’s in a 8 inch square baking dish that has been sprayed with pan release.
In a saucepan, melt the butter with the sugar and cinnamon over medium heat; stir in the Mountain Dew.
Pour the mixture over the dumplin’s to cover.
Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes; remove the foil and bake 15 minutes longer.
Prep Time-15 minutes
Bake Time- 30 minutes
This recipe has been around a long time and is super easy and can be doubled for company.
Serve warm; topped with vanilla ice cream.
