Four people were arrested during a meth bust  and two children were taken into state custody in Benton County Tuesday after authorities received an anonymous tip.

The caller stated the meth was being cooked while children were present in the home on Turtle Creek Drive in Rogers, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officers arrested three parolees identified as Tasha Hayes, 25, Justin Mahurin, 32, and Rebekah Smith, 28, as well as, David Wiser, 32, for manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, numerous warrants and parole violations.

Kathryn Coady, who lives next door, said she had no idea it was going on.

"I think they were trying to make rent which is a really stupid thing to be doing to make rent...but i just can't imagine with those little ones in there," said Coady.

Investigators seized a meth lab in various stages of the manufacturing process inside the children’s bedroom, methamphetamine, packaging material and drug paraphernalia, according to a police report.

Hayes and Mahurin were listed as absconders, police say.

The suspects are being held in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
