‘Armed and Dangerous’ Suspects Arrested in Crawford Co.

Crawford County Deputies arrested three armed robbery suspects Tuesday night accused of breaking a man’s nose.

A dispatcher says residents tipped off the their location after the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department sent out an automated message warning residents to be on the look out.

Bailey Wittneborn, 20, Derrick Barfield, 30 and John Boyd Jr., 40, are suspected of beating and robbing a homeowner at gunpoint on Mountain Grove Road near Alma. The incident happened around noon Tuesday, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff Ron Brown says the homeowner knew the woman who showed up at his door with the two men. He claims the men began threatening him with a knife and gun.

The suspects allegedly took the man’s wallet, prescription drugs and some fishing gear.

The sheriff’s office says all suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

Wittenborn is described as a white female, 5’7″, 130lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. Barfield is described as a white male, 6’2″, 225lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. Boyd, Jr., is described as a white male, 5’9″ with brown hair and brown eyes.

Sheriff Brown says deputies did locate the suspects’ car at a home where another woman was arrested on a warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
