Two Charged in Franklin Co. Stabbing
Two people have been charged in a stabbing in Ozark that left a woman injured early Monday morning.
According to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office, Shannon Chownding is charged with First Degree Battery. James “Dustin” Carter is charged with Hindering Apprehension in First Degree Battery.
Sheriff Anthony Boen says a $500,000 cash bail has been set for each.
Chownding is accused of stabbing Lacey Rowland. Sheriff Boen says she suffered multiple stab wounds and is in stable condition at an intensive care unit in a local hospital.
The couple turned themselves in to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office late Monday. Sheriff Boen says all three are from Johnson County.
