(CNN) — “Bridesmaids” was one of the most talked about movies of 2011, and we’re betting it’s going to get more shine this summer. (If only so we can play the drinking game!)
MTV has announced the nominees for this year’s MTV Movie Awards, and, like best movie lists before it, “Bridesmaids” is among the nominees for “Movie of the Year.”
That category also happens to be a three-way fandom smackdown between “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2,” “The Hunger Games” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” (The fifth film up for the award is “The Help.”)
In addition to the more traditional best male and best female performances, the MTV Movie Awards also includes light-hearted categories like “Best Kiss,” “Best Fight” and “Best On-Screen Dirtbag.”
(That latter category, if you’re curious, nominates Jon Hamm in “Bridesmaids”; Bryce Dallas Howard in “The Help”; Jennifer Aniston in “Horrible Bosses”; Colin Farrell in “Horrible Bosses”; and Oliver Cooper in “Project X” for the honor.)
Fan voting opened Tuesday morning in anticipation of the June 3 ceremony. Check out a partial list of nominees below, and visit MTV for the full rundown.
