A Fayetteville man has been arrested after he allegedly sexually abused a boy for nearly 10 years.

Kenneth Ray McGlothlin, 41, is charged with rape, sexual abuse, and sexual indecency with a child.

Police were notified about the alleged abuse through a report to the state’s child abuse hotline.

The victim claimed the abuse began in April 2003 when he was around 8 or 9 years old. He claimed the abuse ended once he was old enough to resist McGlothin’s advances.

McGlothlin is being held in the Washington County Detention Center.
