A bomb squad was called to investigate a “suspicious package” found outside the Walmart Printing and Distribution Center on SE 10th Street in Bentonville Thursday afternoon, according to Chief Jon Simpson.

The call came in a little after 12:30 p.m., Simpson said.

Just before 2 p.m., authorities determined the package was not dangerous.

Sgt. Russell Hinds says the bomb squad performed a diagnostic on it and determined there was nothing hazardous inside.

One thing that made the package ‘suspicious,’ Hinds said was that the return address was the same as the destination.
