A 5-year-old was hit by a vehicle on S. 14th Street Monday evening in Van Buren, according to police.
Det. Jonathan Wear says the boy was taken to Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith as a precaution.
The child’s grandfather tells 5NEWS the boy was riding his new bicycle when the car hit him. Officers say the boy sustained only minor injures if any.
