Springdale police are investigating a school bus-involved accident where they say two people were sent to a local hospital.

Police say it happened around 7:30 a.m. Monday near Robinson Avenue and Thompson Street.

A Springdale police dispatcher said none of the kids on the bus were hurt, and those injured were from another car involved. There’s no word yet on the extent of their injuries.

The school bus was carrying group of high school seniors from Locust Grove, Okla., who were headed to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo., for a class trip, according to the school’s superintendent’s office. The school says the students and faculty on the bus will continue on their way to the theme park.
