Arkansas deer hunters are already gearing up for the upcoming deer hunting season in 2013, as the schedule is released with a change for archery hunters.
Bow season will open Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013. For decades, bow hunting started on October 1, however, last year it was moved to Sept. 15, according to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
In 2013, Muzzleloader season will open Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, which follows starting modern gun hunting on the second Saturday in November.
According to the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, more details of the 2013 deer seasons will be worked out early next year.
