Let’s face it, Dads always end up at the grill. Why not let him take a break and make these great meals this Father’s day?
Marty’s Steak Taters
Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil (18″ x 18″ sheet)
1/4 cup Olive Oil, divided (to coat ingredients)
2 lbs. Red New Potatoes, halved
1/2 Bell Pepper cut into strips (any color)
1/2 Sweet Onion, thinly sliced
2 tsp minced garlic
1 tbsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
Shredded Cheddar Cheese (or other) as much as you like.
Wash and dry potatoes, then cut in half.
Cut Bell pepper into strips
Cut onion into thin slices
Pour half of olive oil onto aluminum foil
Add all ingredients except cheese
Add rest of oil and Toss to coat
Crimp foil into grilling packet.
Place on grill for 30 minutes, shake & rotate half way through.
Take off grill, add amount of cheese desired, reseal to melt.
Note: Add your steaks to the grill 10-15 min before the taters are done.
For Grilled Steaks or Chickens
1 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Canola Oil
1/4 cup Shallots or Onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp minced roasted garlic
1/2 tsp Montreal Steak Seasoning
2 pkgs 8z bremini mushrooms (or other)
1/3 cup dry white wine (or cooking wine)
4 tsp fresh thyme leaves
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
add oil and shallots or onion
Cook 1 minute or until tender.
Add Steak Seasoning and mushrooms to pan
Cook about 7-8 minutes or until mushrooms are browned.
Add wine to pan, cook for a couple more minutes until liquid almost evaporates.
Stir in thyme and cook for 30 seconds
Serve over grilled steaks or chicken.
