High Demand for Omahogs T-Shirts

The Diamond Hogs in Omaha have Razorback stores scrambling to keep College World Series merchandise on the shelf. Fans want to wear a piece of the teams’ success after two wins in Omaha.

T-shirts with the logo “Omahogs” are leaving the store just as fast as they come in.

“Getting a lot of phone calls asking for them. They are very popular,” Whitney Mulchin, University of Arkansas Razorback Shop in Rogers sales associate, said.

“Saturday was the second shipment and we had our buyer waiting for the mail to get them straight here because they were in such a high of a demand,” she said.

Razorback fans want them so bad they get on a waiting list.

“We had papers full of people’s names and numbers to call,” Mulchin said.

Randy Koontz is a huge Razorback fan and he said the Diamond Hogs two straight wins has everyone pumped up.

“That’s where every baseball team wants to be this time of year. We are there, we are in the final four and it’s a big deal,” Randy Koontz said.

He said it’s no wonder these t-shirts are disappearing quickly from the Razorback Shop’s hangers.

“We are the only ones that can be Omahogs,” Koontz said.

The Razorback Shop has three locations in Northwest Arkansas and all three are getting shipments Tuesday.
