Armed Man Arrested in Road Rage Incident
A Springdale man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly pulling a gun on a driver.
Lawrence Schultz is facing an aggravated assault charge.
Officers responded to the area of Holcomb and Sunset just before 3 p.m. after a man called claiming another man had pointed a gun in his face.
The victim told police he was driving on Turner Street when a man driving a gray pickup, later identified as Schultz, began honking and yelling at him.
The victim said he was behind Schultz when Schultz stopped his truck in the middle of the road, got out and approached the victim’s vehicle.
According to a police report, Schultz pointed a silver gun in the victim’s face. The victim pushed the gun away and Schultz walked back to his vehicle, still pointing the gun at him.
Police say the victim was able to get a license plate number and officers found Schultz at his residence.
Officers found a silver and black Taurus Millennium .45 caliber handgun in Schultz’s pocket loaded with nine hollow point bullets in the magazine.
