Reynolds Signs with Mets

Former Arkansas third baseman Matt Reynolds has signed a professional contract with the New York Mets, the university announced Monday.

Reynolds was selected in the second round of the 2012 MLB Draft by the New York Mets with the 71st overall pick and is scheduled to begin his professional career with the Mets’ single-A affiliate in Savannah, Ga. Reynolds was one of eight Razorbacks to be selected in the 2012 draft, according to a news release from the university.
