Rogers Woman Sentenced for Looting in Joplin Tornado

Lynette Curry, 27, of Rogers, was sentenced to three years in prison for stealing valuables from a home in Duquesne after the southwest Missouri town was hit by a tornado, according to a report from KY3.com.

She was sentenced for felony theft in a plea deal. Prosecutors dropped a charge of burglary and a drug charge. Curry and an accomplice, Gary Wright, 35, of Rogers, were arrested in Duquesne three days after the tornado in May 2011, according to the report.
