The Northwest Arkansas Championship presented by P&G begins Friday morning at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers.

There are few things to know before heading out to golf tournament.

Spectator parking will be available at Pinnacle Hills Promenade for $5 a car. A shuttle will pick up spectators and take them to the golf course.

“There simply isn’t enough space,” otherwise said tournament Chairman Jay Allen.

“The Pinnacle Country Club is a great place for a tournament,” but parking there is limited, Allen said.

Tickets to the tournament are $25 a day or $50 for the week. Kids age 17 and under and military personnel are free.

“There was a patriotic element last year, last year our Sunday round was on the 10th anniversary of 9/11,” Allen said.  “This year’s [theme] is different It’s heading into July 4th” and it’s well received.”

While on the golf course, spectators must turn cell phones to silent, and there are no pets or coolers allowed.

“We’re giving water away for free all weekend, which is very unusual for a golf tournament to do,” he said. “But we are doing that with the help of Walmart. We’re putting up additional shade stations, and we’re going to provide cool towels, again for free.”

No autographs are permitted once a player begins a competitive round. A player can choose to sign autographs before play begins or at the end of the day.
