Former University of Arkansas Razorback Stacy Lewis says she’s excited to return to Northwest Arkansas for the Walmart LPGA Championship.

“It's awesome and I love being here. I'd still live here if the winter was a little better. It's so much fun to come back because the fans are so awesome,” said Lewis.

Stacy also says she fell in love with Arkansas after coming for a visit.  She says she’ll also always be a Razorback.

She says local knowledge also helps her feel a little more comfortable with the shots.

Pinnacle Country Club changed the greens recently, so Lewis says she’s also still getting used to the greens.

Lewis still remains humble despite her success saying her wins have made life more fun, but also difficult.

While many are watching her moves on the course, Stacy also gained support for what she chose to do off the green.  She donated $100,000 to the Arkansas Golf Program Wednesday to help fund an indoor short game facility.

She says she wanted to do something special for the school that helped start her golfing careet.

Friday Morning 5NEWS on KXNW-34 will be your golfing headquarters.  5NEWS will bring you an hour-long tournament special with another extended interview with Stacy.
