Crowds Gather for Greenwood Freedom Fest
More than six thousand people made it out to the Greenwood Freedom Fest Wednesday. The festivities started around 6 this morning with the Freedom Fest 5K. It all ended Wednesday night with a fireworks show.
Families came out all afternoon for different activities. Kids enjoyed water slides, rock climbing and face painting. Parents seemed more interested in the local vendors that had set up tents in the middle of the square, and the live music.
The Freedom Fest has been an annual tradition in Greenwood since the late 1970s. However, this year had the largest turnout yet.
