Homes Evacuated Briefly During Grass Fire

Around a dozen homes were temporarily evacuated Thursday morning to a grass fire in Cave Springs.

Firefighters were sent to an area near Rainbow and Shores Roads around 9:45 a.m.

The fire took only a few minutes to get under control, according to fire officials on the scene. About 10 acres were burned in the fire.

Firefighters from Cave Springs, XNA, Lowell, Bethel Heights, and Highfill responded.
