Minor Train Derailment in Sallisaw

Officials are responding to a train off the tracks in Sequoyah County.

Sequoyah County Sheriff Ron Lockhart said the train’s engine is off the tracks and leaning, although it has not tipped over.

The incident happened in Sallisaw off Cherokee Street and near Highway 17.

No one was hurt, Lockhart said.
