Woman Dies in Adair County Wreck

A Stilwell, Okla., woman died in a car accident today in Adair County.

Janice Sue Smith, 64, died after being thrown from a pickup on U.S. 59, according to the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.

The pickup driver, Anthony James Smith, was northbound about 11 a.m. when his truck left the road, hit a tree and partially rolled, police said. The 46-year-old driver was treated and released at a Stilwell hospital.

 The crash happened about two miles south of Stilwell.
