Lights Out and Damage After Pop-Up Storms
Pop-up storms caused property damage in the River Valley early this evening, leaving hundreds without electricity.
The Logan County sheriff’s office said a strong storm moved through around 6 p.m. Thursday, causing damage north and west of Magazine.
In Sebastian County, the tin roof was blown off of a horse barn at Julie Stilley’s property. Stilley lives off Racetrack Loop between Fort Smith and Greenwood.
Hundreds of people in Sebastian, Logan and Franklin counties were without power this evening. Those residents are customers of Arkansas Valley, Swepco and OG&E
There were also reports of powers lines down in LeFlore county.
