Two Fort Smith men were arrested around 6 p.m. Thursday in connection to a stabbing over a bottle of liquor, according to Sgt. Daniel Grubbs.
Fort Smith Police respond to a call at 3001 Hardie Avenue and found two “heavily intoxicated” friends fighting, Sgt. Grubbs said.
Jeffrey Roberts, 47, reportedly tried to choke Kyle Bolin, 28, after noticing a bottle of whiskey was missing, Sgt. Brian Rice added.
Bolin stabbed Roberts in the back with a knife after the fight broke up, according to a report. Roberts refused medical treatment and is expected to be okay.
Both men were cuffed at the crime scene and taken to the Sebastian County Detention Center on battery charges.
