Local Theaters Plan “Batman” Movie Marathon

Local theaters are planning special events for the premiere of Christopher Nolan’s latest installment in his Batman trilogy, “The Dark Knight Rises”.

Malco is planning to hold a Batman marathon at the Razorback Cinema in Fayetteville, the Rogers Towne Cinema, and Fort Smith’s Malco Cinema 16.

“Batman Begins” shows tonight at 6 p.m. at those theaters followed by “The Dark Knight” at 8:30 p.m. Then “The Dark Knight Rises” hits theaters at 12 a.m. Friday.

Malco’s Razorback Cinema is also planning some special events for the new film’s release. Moviegoers attending the marathon and midnight shows at the Razorback Cinema will have a chance to try their hand at trivia for door prizes and giveaways from Vintage Stock.

Razorback Cinema is also hosting a fundraiser for the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter. For a $1 donation, guests will receive a “Bat – badge” to place on the “Gotham’s Wall of Honor”.

Moviegoers can also purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win exciting prizes courtesy of Huhot, Shogun, Lennys, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Chick-Fil-A, Burgerlife, Konsplosion, and Vintage Stock.

Carmike Cinemas in Fort Smith is also planning a Batman marathon with “Batman Begins” starting at 6:30 p.m. followed by “The Dark Knight” and ending with “The Dark Knight Rises”.
