Latest Drought Monitor shows most of Arkansas in the “severe” or “extreme” drought conditions with a pocket of exceptional drought conditions in central Arkansas.

The 3 month forecast does not look favorable for rain or cooler temperatures. The drought conditions are expected to persist or worsen through August.
