Afternoon Storm Causes Power Outages
Thousands are without power after severe weather moved through Northwest Arkansas Thursday afternoon.
SWEPCO’s website reports 2,737 outages in Washington County and a little more than 1,000 in Carroll County.
Just after 5 p.m., OG&E reported 6,125 without power in Fort Smith. Another 77 customers are without power in Alma. About 1,451 customers in Arkoma were also affected by the outages.
Carroll Electric reported about 136 power outages just after 5 p.m.
Ozarks Electric were also busy restoring power Washington County after distribution lines in west Fayetteville burned during the storm.
At 6:30 p.m. 150 members in the Hindsville area were without power. Nine crews were dispatched across the area.
