The Fort Smith S.W.A.T. team was called to the 2600 block of N. 39th Thursday night after neighbors reported seeing a man with a gun making threats in the street.

Turns out, it was only a metal pipe. However, Ryan Keene, 22, was arrested on charges of terroristic threatening and obstructing governmental operations.

When officers arrived at the home just after 9 p.m., Keene went back inside his house, police say. A perimeter was set up around the home as SWAT team members tried to make contact with him.

A search warrant was obtained and executed just before midnight, according to a police report. Keene was arrested and officers found no evidence of a gun inside the home, only the curved metal pipe.
