Man Accused of Selling Stolen Phone on Craig’s List

Van Buren police are looking for a man who allegedly sold a stolen phone to a woman on Craig’s List.

The victim reported the crime when she realized she could not activate the phone because it was reported stolen. She told police she met the suspect at McDonald’s in Van Buren and bought it from him after seeing an ad online.

Investigators obtained video from the fast food restaurant showing the suspect arriving in a gold or silver colored Cadillac with tinted windows, police say. The video also showed him inside the restaurant waiting for the woman to arrive.

The suspect faces a charge of theft by deception.
