River Valley Restaurant Gutted After Overnight Fire
The Log Cabin restaurant in south Sebastian County near Greenwood burned for nearly two hours before fire crews could entirely put out the flames, leading to a total loss Monday morning.
The call came in around 2:30 a.m., according to the Greenwood rural fire department. Fire crews with the city of Greenwood, the Greenwood rural fire department, Huntington fire department and EMP worked on the blaze before it was extinguished around 5:30 a.m., 5NEWS crews at the scene said.
There were no fire hydrants in the area, so the crews had to bring in tanker trucks with water.
Crews on scene said the building is a total loss. There were no injuries, and no one inside at the time the fire started. Crews say they do not know how the fire started at this time.
