Man Sent Pornography to Undercover Sheriff’s Deputy

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man who is accused of sending photographic images of himself to what he thought was a 14-year-old girl.

Stanford Meredith, 25, of Jonesboro, faces charges of computer child pornography and unlawful use of a communications device, according to a news release from Marion County Sheriff Roger Vickers.

An undercover online investigation revealed that Meredith started and engaged in sexually explicit chats, and sent pornographic pictures of himself to who he believed was a teen girl. It was really an undercover sheriff’s deputy, according to the release.

Meredith is free on $25,000 bond.

The Arkansas State Police and Jonesboro Police Department assisted in the investigation.
