A grass fire destroyed two vacant mobile homes, several cars and about 15 acres of land Friday evening off White Valley Road in Franklin County.
The flames spread to the woods and a nearby pasture before it could be contained, according to Sheriff Anthony Boen. Several fire trucks from surrounding areas as well as the U.S. Forest Service, responded to the fire around 5:15 p.m.
The fire was under control by 7 p.m., according to Sheriff Boen.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
