The Choctaw Casino located at 1801 E. Main in Stigler celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning.
Tribal dignitaries from the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, as well as local city and business leaders, attended the event. The casino is 7,800 square feet and features 200 slot machines.
It employees 29 people with an estimated payroll of about $700,000, according to Tammy Gwinn director of casino operations.
The new casino, one of eight casinos operated by the Choctaw Nation, will hold giveaways all weekend long.
