Dustin Matthew Walden, 29, of Centeron, was cited for suspicion of voyeurism Monday after admitting he watched a woman preparing to tan at a Springdale business, according to a Springdale Police Department news release.

On Friday, a 19-year-old woman reported to police she was getting ready to tan at Ultimate Tan, 1810 W. Sunset Ave., when she noticed a man who worked there looking over a wall, the release states.

The man was standing on a stool to see over the wall, said Lt. Kevin Lewis, police department spokesman. The wall shielding the tanning area does not extend to the ceiling, Lewis said.

The 19-year-old woman was nude and applying lotion during the incident, Lewis said. The male got down off the stool after the woman made eye contact with him, the release states.

Detectives went to the business on Monday and spoke to its only male employee. Walden first said he was cleaning, but later admitted to watching the woman, the release states.

Police say Walden is the manager at Ultimate Tan.

Walden was not arrested or booked into jail but received a Class A misdemeanor citation punishable by up to one year in jail, Lewis said.

Walden is scheduled to appear in Springdale Circuit Court on Sept. 6 for an arraignment hearing, Lewis said.

Springdale police ask that anyone who has experienced a similar situation contact the Criminal Investigation Division at (479) 750-8139.
