boil order

A boil order is in effect for approximately 125 Cedarville Waterworks customers who live on Shiloh Road, Shiloh Village Road, Sunswept Terrace, and Gaggett Moses Drive.

The order was issued as a precautionary measure because of the possibility that contaminated water may have entered the distribution system as a result of partial loss in normal system pressure. The boil water order was due to a 2 inch main break

Under the ‘boil water’ order, all affected customers must boil water briskly for one minute before drinking or cooking with it.

The precautionary boil order will remain in effect until an adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the distribution system and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
