Toddler Drowns in Conway Apartment Pool

A toddler drowned in an apartment complex pool in Conway on Saturday.

Authorities say a maintenance worker saw two children in trouble in the water called the apartment manager, who dove into the pool, pulling the 21-month-old and a 3-year-old from the water.

The 21-month-old was unconscious as the manager performed CPR. The child was later pronounced dead.

Authorities say the woman watching the children said she fell asleep.

The 3-year-old was shaken but OK.

An investigation is continuing.
