One Dead in Crash Near Clarksville

A Clarksville man is dead after an accident in Johnson County on Sunday.

Harry Wayne Beckstead, 59, died when his motorcycle ran into another vehicle at 5081 Highway 103 about 3 p.m., the Arkansas State police said.

Beckstead was traveling behind a pickup hauling a boat, when the pickup slowed to turn right into a driveway, according to a police report. Beckstead was unable to stop in time and collided with the boat’s motor. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
