Woman Steals Car and Leaves Man Pantless at Motel, Police Say
Van Buren Police are looking for a woman named “Amber” who allegedly stole a man’s pants which contained his money, credit cards and keys to his 2011 Ford Edge.
The 48-year-old victim, wearing only a towel at the time, told police Saturday that he met Amber at the Choctaw Casino in Pocola the night before, according to Det. Jonathan Wear.
The man told police he left the casino around 10:30 p.m. and rented the hotel room in Van Buren. At some point during the night the woman took his pants, wallet, and drove away in the man’s sports utility vehicle, police said. The vehicle was later recovered near Raleigh Street in Fort Smith.
Police did not provide a description of the woman.
