Garfield Man Faces Sexual Indecency Charges With 14-Year-Old

A 19-year-old Garfield man was arrested after police say he engaged in sexual indecency with a 14-year-old girl.

Rogers police arrested Gabriel Alexander Olson on Tuesday in connection with felony sexual indecency with a child, misdemeanor possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

The police department responded to a call from the Arkansas State Police Child Abuse Hotline that alleged a teenage girl was the victim of rape.

Alcohol was a factor in the encounter, said Keith Foster, public information officer for the Rogers Police Department.

Olson remained in the Benton County Jail on Wednesday awaiting a bond hearing.
