Missing Teen Located, Boyfriend Arrested
The boyfriend of a missing River Valley girl was arrested on a charge of interference with custody Sunday.
Wayne Dunmire, 19, of Lee Summit, Mo., was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond. His girlfriend, Emma Sears, 14, of Fort Smith, was placed into the custody of Arkansas Department of Human Services after the two turned themselves in to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, according to Kelly Cantrell with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Sears was reported missing July 4 after she never returned from watching fireworks with friends and Dunmire in Winslow, according to her mother.
Dunmire’s mother, Deborah Dunmire and her boyfriend, Brian Reichard, were also arrested in July after giving authorities contradictory information about when they last saw Sears, officials said. They were released on $20,000 bond, records show.
The Morgan Nick Foundation and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children posted images and information about the girl online.
The FBI was also involved in the investigation because the teen was believed to have crossed state lines into Missouri, according to police.
