A man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon with non-life threatening injuries following a motorcycle wreck in Rogers.

The unidentified man accelerated quickly at the intersection of 23rd Street and Walnut Street when his traffic light turned from red to green. His motorcycle collided with a car that was in the intersection turning left, said Officer Keith Foster with the Rogers Police Department.

Emergency crews responded to the crash at 3:15 p.m. and rushed the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital. Foster said the man’s injuries were mostly superficial. He was not wearing a helmet.
