A Learning Lesson for Fayetteville Bulldogs
Coming into the 2012 season the Fayetteville Bulldogs had high expectations. Losing their opening game 42-20 to the University of Memphis High School was not one of them. While the outcome wasn’t what the Bulldogs had hoped or expected they learned a lot about their team and the areas they need to improve on in order to defend their state title.
”We ran into a buzz saw tonight, they were very good” said Coach Patton. “We have a lot of things to work on, but this game will make us a lot better down the road.”
Moving forward is what the Fayetteville players are looking to do. They know they have an extremely talented team and they also know they all need to get on the same page so they can get back to their winning ways.
”We need to get better right now. We have all the pieces we just need to fix things up right now” Quarterback Austin Allen said after the game.
Despite the loss the team had a unique experience to play in Razorback Stadium, in an atmosphere that many high school players could only dream of.
”It was so fun. Having all of the fans hear was really exciting” said Safety Alex Brignoni
The Bulldogs look to rebound from their loss next week as they take on Jefferson City.
