Police have no leads in the search for a man they say robbed a Springdale gas station at gunpoint Monday night.

A black male entered a Conoco station on Thompson Street at about 9:30 p.m. and demanded the clerk empty cash from the register. When the female clerk did not move fast enough, the suspect used a black revolver to fire one shot toward the back of the gas station, police say.

The suspect fled on foot wearing a brown mask, a blue shirt and black pants, according to the Springdale Police Department.

Detectives believe the man may have fled from the area, beyond the reach of Springdale police. The department is still holding out hope the suspect may attract attention to himself.

The man made off with an undisclosed amount of money. There were no injuries in the robbery, and no surveillance footage exists, police said.
