The Roger's High School Girl's Tennis team has had a lot of success over the past few years.  They shared a piece of the state title last season and a huge part of that success is junior Tiffany Tang.  She is the 2x defending state singles champion, but her impact on the team goes beyond her play on the court.

"Tiffany is a unique tennis player.  She is mentally strong, she can hit all the shots, you can`t rattle her.  She is a quite leader, she is not going to get everyone in a rally and lead a cheer, but she is definitely one that leads by example" said Coach Mike Fulton.

Teammate Courtney Palmer added "Tiffany is the best tennis player I have ever seen in person.  And she is the most considerate tennis player I have ever seen in person.  She is so humble and she is just a good person.  We are friends we have classes together if you talk to her a get to know her she is funny and she is witty.  She is just a very good leader and example for the whole team."

As described by her coach and teammate Tiffany is the definition of a team player.  When asked about her individual goals she hesitated and instead put the focus on her team's goals, "Our team is looking forward to state, and we have been working really hard.  So we are looking forward to hopefully win a state title and win as a team"

Tiffany isn't the only one who thinks this team can defend their state title.  Her teammates and coaches are on board with her.

"We are looking really good.  We have a really deep team this year and I think we will have a lot of fun growing as a team.  Our goals are to win another state championship this year" said teammate Haeleigh Long.

"We`ve got great singles and doubles players, it`s probably the deepest team we have ever had.   We need both singles and doubles teams to play like they can, we can gain points along the way and win a championship again" added Coach Fulton.
