Pleasant fall weather will continue for much of the work week with the biggest changes arriving late in the week.

In the meantime, a warm and dry southerly flow will pick up around mid-week. This should push temperatures into the 80s with low humidity. Despite the recent rain, the brush fire threat will be high this week. Also of note, both ragweed and mold are both at high levels and the gusty south winds should cause allergies to be higher than usual this week.

The image above shows energy in the middle of the atmosphere. We’re thinking rain chances spike on Friday with anywhere from .50 to 1.00″ of rain possible. You can see the big circle to the north which represents the center of the low. The slow movement of the front and meager moisture should lead to a relatively low severe weather threat late week. The system should again exit by Friday evening with sunny skies and pleasant weather for the upcoming weekend.
