Bond Set for Businessman Jailed on Sexual Assault Charges

Bond was set for a Franklin County businessman arrested on 2nd degree sexual assault charges over the weekend.

Monday afternoon a $15,000 bond was set for 46-year-0ld Monte Brotherton with the provision that he have no contact with the alleged victim or the victim’s family, according to prosecuting attorney David Gibbons.

The charges stem from allegations Brotherton inappropriately touched a young girl, KDYN Radio reports.

Brotherton is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 1 before Judge William Pearson, Gibbons said.
