Rogers police interrupted a robbery attempt Sunday night at the Walgreen’s at Walnut Street and Dixieland Road.

Lawrence Webb, 40, was arrested for felony aggravated robbery. Police say their initial investigation showed that Webb walked into the store and demanded Oxycontin from the pharmacist on-duty. Webb allegedly told the pharmacist he had a gun, but never showed it.

Police say the pharmacist was able to call 911, and police arrested Webb without incident. Police did not find a gun on Web when they searched him.

Webb is being held at the Benton County Sheriff’s office awaiting a bond hearing.
