A woman suspected of stealing from a Fayetteville Harps Foods store was arrested Saturday with a baby and Methodone in her car, police said.
Sara Chaisson, 24, was arrested Saturday night in connection with shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance.
Police said Chaisson stole $75 worth of groceries from the Harps Foods store on North Colorado Drive. Officers responded to a call at about 10 p.m. concerning a woman leaving the store with groceries and a baby, according to a preliminary arrest report from the Fayetteville Police Department.
Police arrived at the store’s parking lot and were able to stop Chaisson’s car before she left. Officers searched Chaisson’s car and found the stolen groceries, along with a baby and a Hydrocodone prescription bottle filled with Methodone pills, the report states.
Chaisson remains in the Washington County Detention Center on $3,065 bond.
