Naked Woman Covered In Blood Taken To Hospital
Fayetteville police early Tuesday responded to a 911 call at 516 N. Mission Blvd., where a woman was in the road, naked and covered in blood, said Sgt. Craig Stout, police department spokesman.
“The blood wasn’t her own,” Stout said, “and she wasn’t injured.”
Police received the call at 6:42 a.m.
Stout said the woman, who has mental health issues, was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center.
A dead animal was found inside the house, police said. No other people were home at time of the incident, Stout said.
Neighbors said the woman lives alone and she mostly kept to herself.
Kara Neice said she heard a lot of noise this morning.
“Our neighbors dogs were going crazy in the street behind us and two houses down they have labs and all the dogs were barking and howling,” Neice said.
Neice said she saw the animal patrol vehicles and police officers.
“We kind of figured something weird was going on. There was a lot of commotion in the middle of the morning,” Neice said.
Police said the woman received a mental evaluation and are not releasing her name.
