A motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon in Benton County killed a man and sent a woman to the hospital.

Robert D. Randolph, 56, died after being ejected from his motorcycle on Arkansas Highway 94 near Pea Ridge. Randolph, of Pea Ridge, nearly collided with a car after pulling onto the highway and lost control of his motorcycle, according to the Arkansas State Police.

The car’s driver lost control after the near-collision and flipped the car off of the roadway, police said. Breanna L. Freeman, a 22-year-old woman in the car, was injured and taken to Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville, where she was treated and released.

Hospital nursing supervisors could not immediately comment on Freeman’s status. Freeman, of Bella Vista, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to state police.

Cody Freeman, 24, and a 9-month-old baby in the back seat of the car were not injured in the wreck.
