Man Stabs Woman In Arm At Springdale Gas Station, Police Say
Police arrested a man they say stabbed a woman in the arm at a Springdale gas station Wednesday night.
Harley Hoffman, 26, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault against a woman Hoffman got into an argument with at King’s Korner on Huntsville Avenue, police said.
The woman told police she punched Hoffman after he pushed her. Hoffman then pulled a knife and tried to cut her stomach, but sliced her left arm instead, the woman told officers.
Hoffman fled the scene and called 911, reporting that a woman inside the gas station cut her wrists and was falsely accusing him of stabbing her, according to a preliminary arrest report from the Springdale Police Department.
The woman was transported to Northwest Medical Center and treated for her injury. Officers called Hoffman’s phone and agreed on a place to meet, where police arrested him.
Hoffman’s bloody shirt was taken and entered into evidence.
He remained in the Washington County Detention Center on Thursday night on $5,000 bond.
